2015년에 한국, 서울에서 시작한 프로젝트 그룹으로 움직임을 기반으로 직관적인 방식의 움직임 생성 방법을 찾고 있으며 다원적인 실험과 외부적인 장치를 통해 몸과 연결 시키는 과정에 집중하는 최민선과 강진안으로 구성된 그룹이다.
국립현대무용단에서 2010년부터 2016년까지 무용수로 활동 이후, 여러 한국의 유명 안무가를 배출하는 서울댄스컬렉션에서 안무상 수상을 시작으로 그들만의 작품 방향을 더 견고히 하고 있다. 그 이후 해외로의 진출을 하고 있으며 무용분야 뿐만 아니라 시각 작가들과의 협업과 미술관 작업등, 다원적인 프로젝트들의 참여를 통해 그들만의 영역을 다양하게 확대시키고 특유의 방식을 선보이며 대외적으로 활발히 활동 중이다.
‘The Choi X Kang Project’ is a project group consisting of Choi Min-sun and Kang Jin-an, based in Seoul, Korea since 2015. The group is looking for an intuitive way to create motions and focusing on the process of connecting external devices to the body through diverse experiments.
From 2010 to 2016, the two worked as dancers at the Korea National Contemporary Dance Company. The group received an award in the Seoul Dance Collection, which has produced many competent Korean choreographers. Starting with this, further solidifying their own style and direction. Since then, They have also been broadening their activity boundaries by getting involved in various projects such as collaborating with visual artists and working in art galleries.
This group is working actively inside and outside of Korea in recognition of Korean dance scene for its potential in the unique style.
